Crystal Enterprise and Active Directory

Hi all,

Can somebody point me in the right direction of a decent document which explains how to set up crystal enterprise on active directory and if there are any implications.

Hi,
It is version dependent, so please let us know what version you are using.


Generally,in CE10, is it set up like other Authentication methods ( in the CMC ).

Hi thanks for replying. The version of CE we're using is 10. Basically i've got to give the documents to the technical team who are implementing Active directory on the server where CE 10 is, this is why i've had to try and get some info. If you need any more info from me just let me know.

I hope you do not mean that the CE server will also be the AD domain controller..

Hi,

Could you please let me know where I can find information on how Windows AD and CE sync up? I am working with CE10. If I move a user from one group to the other or add a new user on Windows AD, what does it take to see the update in the CE groups besides pressing the 'Update' key in CE? Is the sync up automatic - just taking sometime or do we always need to press 'Update'?

The CE installation will automatically update - usually within 30 minutes.
