Hello,

We recently upgraded our crystal reports developer license to Enterprise 9. This gave us a lot of advantages as discussed throughout the forum. However, I've also noticed that the PDF files that I export out are about 10x bigger than they used to be under 8.5. Does anyone know why this is or what can be done about it? I understand 9 maybe imbedding fonts, but that doesn't seem like it would take me from 20k to over 200k for each report.

Thanks in advance,

Brett

The export will not be embedding fonts in the file, but you must bear in mind that with the introduction of verison 9 the reports are now fully Unicode compliant and this, I would expect, will likely increase the file sizes across the board.

There has also been changes made to the exporting process for certain formats that may have added to the overhead.

My thoughts....

Cheers,
