We have had a problem running the hipath reporter and cr9 on the same machine.
I am the Hipath administrator, and also the Crystal guy, and I am being asked for reports that dont currently exist in Hipath. (i am confident i can do the reports but not so confident about connecting using infomix.)
My other database targets for Cr are all SQL, but Hipath is Infomix. I have not used this before.
I'm using Crystal Reports 9 to develop reports against Hipath, which uses Informix DB. I recommend downloading the most recent updated version of he Informix CLI client SDK. I had problems with the outdated drivers.
Guys,
Have managed to connect and run some of my own reports, Woo Hoo, but now having trouble running hipath and remedy reports on the same machine.
It used to work, but i think i broke it when i ran a crystal patch.
anyone have any ideas. as I now have a machine for each type of reports sitiing on my desk *(its frying my brain)
I wonder if the Remedy thick client application on this machine is bundled with older Crystal 9 Report files. If so, would it make a difference in the order in which you install the software? For example, you may want to install Remedy Client on the machine first, install the Informix CLI client, install Crystal Reports 9, and install Crystal Report updated patch last.
I mention this only because I know there were issues when I bundled a VB installation package with Crystal Report run time files on top of a Nortel Symposium Client installation. My VB application which was integrated with Crystal ran fine, but alll the Crystal Reports in the Symposium Client crashed. If I recollect, I fixed the problem by the sequence in which I installed each application.
