I am currently doing battle with the cross-tab function in Crystal Reports 8.5. I am pulling in a table from a SQL database that I need to report in a particular manner.
Is it impossible to turn off the row totals in the cross-tab report? I have gone into every menu I can find and de-selected the “show totals” feature. I have consulted with everyone in my department and we are all stumped.
The unique lines are determined by the ID being different. In my table there are numerous lines for each ID, one for each date, so this is in essence a pivot of that report.
WHAT I AM CURRENTLY GETTING (it doesn't line up, paste into text):
CDTY TYPE B/S ID NRG TRD$ P/C STK$ APR03 MAY03 TOTAL

My current work-around has been to turn all the rows with the unwanted totals into size 1 white font and smash them upwards so they don’t look like they are there. Unfortunately, when any of them occur at the end of a page, I get a “peek-a-boo residue” coming over onto the top of the next page. This is disturbing to the reader, as they think they are missing data.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I read something about a simulated cross-tab, but I am not sure it would help in this case.
I’d appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Monique
