I have a website which uses MS Access as the backend. I am trying to use Ultradev to define a recordset. This recordset is a crosstab query, the SQL for which I've simply cut and pasted from the Design View in Access into the define recordset dialog in Ultradev. It doesn't seem to work though. Is it even possible to do a crosstab query in Ultradev?

You can do joins and such - although it takes modifying a recordset by hand to do it.

Why not just do the query in Access - and pull data with a regular recordset? "Never underestimate the power of determination"

Stuart,

You're right. That is probably the best solution. I just figured that since I'm using MS Access as the backend, I could just send the SQL string to Access on the fly using ADO from the ASP page and Access would know what it meant. But such is my limited understanding of all this mess.

True - you could,

but you'd save yourself some time and hassle.

Let access do the work in this case.
