Cross Talk 1

In the last 2 weeks we have had complaints of the following: Person A in conversation with Person B. Suddenly A cannot hear B, but B is now connected to a conversation with Person C and D who were already in conversation. Sometimes it is person A who gets connected to the "instant conference". In both cases, the person who is dropped, gets cut off from the phone system. It appears to happen only with external calls.
We have an Option 81C, with Succession 3.0.
We have 8 PRI's

8 pri's, do you have any analog trunks? if not does this happen to analog stations? analog tech lends itself to crosstalk more so then digital. could be a network card, or controller. a few things to consider, a trace key if it happens to the same tn, what cni and cpu are in use when it happens.. as we all know a trouble that we cannot duplicate can be a head ache.. and they never happen to the mail clerk. always the glass office..

I have been having this problem for about a year. The problem I have is: Agent A is talking to Caller B, You hear a click and then Agent A hears Caller B talking to Agent C, who has just answered Caller B, as if she was presented with a new caller from the queue. While this is going on, Agent A can hear this conversation, but they can't her him. It is like a mis-aligning of call registers. We also get RCV001 and other forms of this crosstalk. Nortel has been working on this at the design level for 8 months or so. We have custom diag. patches and a special output when a person presses the CallTrace key when they are experiencing the problem. It has been very frustrating. We have two campuses with PRI's between them and we are using NAS,TRO,TAT, Networked symposiums and CallPilot/SCCS integration. I think Nortel is geting close, but it is very complicated and happening at the code level, so we will have to wait and see.

By the way, We had this problem when we were on 25.40b and it continued when we upgraded to 3.0.
