I have a number of queries which build up from text boxes on a form.

I accumulate the end data together in a cross tab query but get the error:

"The Microsoft Jet Database engine does not recognize 'forms!dfrmCreateDialog!datStart' as a valid field name or expression"

The query works fine if I use absolute references. My other select queries work fine with the above criteria.

Any ideas how to pass this information correctly to a cross tab query?

If the form is indeed open and has a valid record or data in the field, there could be a typo:
'forms![red]d[/red]frmCreateDialog!datStart'

You may also have to define the parameter in the crosstab query:
PARAMETERS [Forms]![dfrmCreateDialog]![datStart] DateTime;
TRANSFORM ....

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks PHV, you seem to be my saviour today! Have a star.

I added the three fields to the Query Paramters and it worked fine. They appear to be case-sensitive as they didnt work first time due to a non-capitalisation of a character.

Is the paramater decleration important for all queries or just a cross-tab thing?
