cronjob error

anyone seen this error before..

! bad user (root) or setgid failed (root)

root user seems fine.. passwd hasnt expired or anything and format seems ok as well.. group is also good.. any ideas? tia

What were you doing when you saw this? What command generated it?

all shell scripts generated this message .. with the exception of binaries ran.. ie date or sa1 etc.... i restarted cron and seems ok now tho
