Criteria problem

hi

i have a query and i want to see all reference numbers except ones that start with 3 0r 4, i have set the criteria to Not like 3* and this works fine but when i set it to Not like 3* not like 4* it still shows all records, can anyone tell me where i am going wrong and what i shold put in

what's the SQL of your query, you are obviously missing an AND in your query.
