OK I am an extremely novice access user that has been given an advanced access project. *sigh*

why? because I am the only one in the office that has any idea on how to do anything in access.

Here is my problem...

I have to create a database that will be updated each quarter with statistics for member hospices of an organization. I will then have to pull reports from this database to show these statistics to the organization on a quarterly basis.

I have created tables for the data, but I dont know how to create the relationships between the tables nor do I know how to create useable web based forms. I know how to create normal data entry forms....but dont know how to create the subforms and add them in. I also know how to create SQL queries to pull data for the reports.

I just dont know how to proceed.
I would like to have all the tables work together some how.

I know I sound completely confused, but that is because I am. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am a web designer, not a database creator! *sigh*

Thank you

Try using the Access Wizard to create a "dummy" database, first.
The way I learned about relationships was by fooling around with a recipe database that came with the application, I think it was Access 97. Version 2000 has other wizards, that are more "business" oriented, but I think that using the Access Help and just learning by trial and error helped me out a great deal.

No, I don't really know how to link databases created in other applications, but I can give you a hint--ADO; I think that it is described in detail in Access Help, or in Excel Help.

Good luck. You are brave to take on such a project.
