I believe you are asking how to create a phantom dn. Is this correct? Normally the last four digits of the did supplied from the carrier will be the dn (directory number). If you do a load 20, prt, ludn, you will get a list of available dn's. Some will be phantom (not hooked to a did) and some will not be (hooked to a did). The co company you use should have a listing of dids that you pay for.AJK
might not be a phantom, do the last 3 or 4 digits of the did match the ext number?.. if so the phone company is just sending you the digits you need...example. my exten is 4940, my phone number is xxx 4940.. their is no entry in the switch that says it's a did... i get 4940 on my inbound did's...next if they don't matchm look in load 49 prt idc return, return.. you'll see a basic translate table,,,xxxx in xxyz out.. for non matching did's, you need an entry in the idc table
unless your in a big switch chances are you only have a thousand or less did numbers.. any number that is in ludn table is a non did unless your getting all 10,000 numbers in your nxx.. i have use ld 49 because we get all 10k numbers.. your phone bill will tell you hom many did's you are paying for
