Hi!
I want to make a navbar using the built in function of dW mx 2004. Now i wonder about how u implement this on all the pages the site will contain.

Once i have created the site with its root (index.htm) i implement the navbar. I dont use frames since they always create trouble in browsers. Now what i wonder is: if i create index.htm with the navbar, how do i use it to implement the naavbar on all of the different pages of the site?

lets say i create the subpage animal.htm and i want to use the navbar i created in index.html, how do i do to implement it? Do i have to copy the navbar from the index page?

I mean if i later want to go in and change the names in the navbar menu i have created, i want it to change on all the other pages navbar as well, and not go to every page to change the names.

Can i use "create template" after i have created the navbar or should i use the template before i have implemented the navbar?

I do not want to use php or asp or anything like that(should not be necessary). I just wonder how this works in dreamweaver.

hope u can help me with this...any advice as to how u implement ur navbars on ur sites would be very interesting for me :)

Once the Navbar has been created on your template page, you must add the editable regions for your body contents, and title, and other info you may want to be able to change on a per page basis. Once that is done, save the file as a template. Then when creating a new page, select the Create from Template option and select your template, it should then
create your new page with the template you assing.

When you want to make changes to the Navbar, open your template file, make the changes, and upon saving Dreamweaver will automaticvally ask you if you want to update all the pages that use the template, say yes, and it goes to work.

Hope this helps
