Hey Guys,

I am new to Livelink. Now here's my issue:

In my workspace I have couple of folders under ENTERPRISE. And each of these folders have couple of folders and files in it.

Now, what I need to do is to create a customized weblingo file where I can change the tree structure of these folders. This is not change the content of the folder but will only change the position of the folders. Also, I don't want to disturb the orginal structure, I just want to create a new view were I can show this customized view of folder structure as per specification.

For this I thought of creating a new table in DB with ID, PARENTID, NAME, DATAID field in that table. This table will get values from Dtree table.

I hope you guys are clear with my requirement.

Thanks,

What I am assuming you want to do is to add a different presentation rather than the three provided by Livelink by default - List, Featured or Hidden - to a given set of folders.

Probably the easiest way would be to do one of the following :

1. Use an XML Skin to display the contents of the folder in the way you want.

2. Create a CUSTOMVIEW file with an IFrame in it and then have the IFrame point to a server side script that interacts with Livelink using LAPI to retrieve the contents of the folder and then you can present the data how you want.

3. You may be able to amend the BROWSEVIEW.HTML weblingo template and an additional branch for the layout style you want, although you would have to work out how to differentiate these folders from others within this file.
