Hello everyone

I am aware in how to create custom colors within Word 2003.

However, is there a way to save your created colors for a personalized color palette? IF not, can anyone suggest any third party tools to do the job?

I'm hitting a dead end in my research! Thanks!

There is no way to create your own palette in Word 2003. Themes in Word 2007 do offer a little in this respect (you can create your own Theme but it only contains a few basic colours and variations on them).

I am not aware of any third party products, but what items are you wanting to colour? It might be possible to create a UserForm to do the job - well it wold definitely be possible but if you want a comprehensive set of options it would be quite a lot of work.

Enjoy,
Tony

Thank you for your reply Tony.

I have been tasked, if possible, to see if there is a way to incorporate the specific R,G,B color combinations that comproise our company logo, within Word's color palette list.

These colors are not standard, but must be created using the various R,G,B numbers. I hope this makes sense.

Yes, that makes sense - and, no, you can't do it. You could perhaps create your own toolbar buttons (how many colours are there) or a popup menu - but you would need different ones corresponding to all Word's options and you couldn't add them to built-in dialogs so they would have limited use.

If you could persuade your company to let you try Word 2007 you ought to be able to create your own Theme there which might well meet your needs.

Enjoy,
Tony

Thank you Tony. You and another person have confirmed this, so I'll just have to suck it up!
