Hi all!
I currently have a domain setup in AD called domain1. So in DNS, the AD zone is domain1.com
We own another company called domain2 that we receive emails for through an external mx record for domain2. I'm trying to setup internal mx records for doamain 2.
In my DNS, under our domain1 zone, I just added a mail exchanger record and since our domain is called domain1, I just added the IP for the email server. How do I add a MX record for domain2? There is nothing in DNS/AD for domain2, we just receive emails being sent to them and we let exchange figure out what user has the @domain2.com smtp address. If I just add a MX record for domain2 under our domain1.com zone, I don't think it will work. Do I have to create a new zone?
