I have a memo field on a report with the following control source:

=[Forms]![Frm_Fax]![TB_Contact2] & Chr(10) & [Forms]![Frm_Fax]![MM_Remarks]

When I run the report, instead of getting a carriage return, I receive a box symbol instead. What syntax do I need to use via the Expression Builder to create a carriage return? -illini

This created the following results:

#Name? -illini

I tried both '& Chr$(10) &' as well as '& Chr$(13) &'. Both produced the same results as my initial setup.

The form is open when the report is launched. Other fields within the report have been populated based on information within the form. It's just this one memo field that is giving me problems. -illini

Discovered that the following works:

Chr(13) & Chr(10).

I guess it makes a difference that Chr(13) comes before Chr(10). -illini
