Hi,

We recently got laptops that only have CD ROM drives on them. We would like to be able to boot the computer into Ghost from the CD ROM and then transfer the image over the network from the Ghostcast server. Does anyone know if it's possible. There's no option in Ghost 7.5 CE to create strictly a CD Boot disk.

Norton ghost has an easy way of doing it but im not sure if it is appropiate for your use i.e laptops. ive used it accros my network to syncronise files and also mirror image them but im not sure you may need to do a little research on these applications

The way web design should be

Can you create a Ghost network floppy on another machine (with network drivers for the laptops of course)? If so, you can create an image of this floppy and write image to CD (or in fact you can create bootable CD directly from floppy with most current CD burning software I think) - it should boot exactly like the floppy would.

HI,

I am in a similar situation of not having floppy drives.

I am trying to achieve the same by creating a boot cd from the floppy created by Ghost boot wizard and i have not been able to do so successfully.

Has it worked for anyone? Any workaround o directly burn to a CD?
