Create New Information Store

Wonder if you can help, we're running W2K, AD and Exchange 2000. We suffered corruption in our Information Store and after running eseutil with various switches managed to get it back to a "Clean Shutdown" state. One week later, the same thing happened again, only this time none of the eseutil commands worked on the private information store.

So I've used exmerge to get the mailboxes out to PST and tried to create another private information store. However, when I try to mount the store I get the following error "An internal processing error has occurred. Try retarting the Exchange System Manager or the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service or both. ID no: c1041724 Exchange System Manager"

I've looked up KB articles and done everything suggested. We don't have any event log errors - help!!!!
