I am not sure if you can do this in perl or not but I trying to access this API and you need to create a new COM object "object.name" that is associated with the programs API. I have the associated .dll and it appears to be registered correctly in my windows registry. How would I go about doing that?

ynaLib, it might be what you're looking for.
I seem to remember a module named something like DynaLoader, but can't seem to find on CPAN, though I think it comes with most Perl distributions.
At any rate, it's a module to work with dynamic libraries.
