Text files can be accessed from Crystal via a TEXT ODBC driver.
As an alternative, if what you want is to bring text file content into a single text/HTML/RTF field in Crystal, create a UFL or use a 3rd-party UFL (see list at: such as my "CUT Light" UFL.
