Hi there,

For my w2k pc I need a client certificate to authenticate my client during a 802.1x authentication. Therefore I need the client to create a private/public key pair and create a request, which I can store on floppy to take it to my offline CA to certify the public key. Afterwards I need to install the certificate on my client.
Does anybody have a hint to a good documentation on how to do this. I cannot connect to the CA directly from the client and I cannot do auto enrollment by the CA(If there's no other way I might try to make this possible).

Any information would be really appreciated,

busche

well I may have not been very clear in my question. Your link tells me how to export the certificate. But I still need to create an certificate request
But your link might be useful for me later on...
thx,

Hi,

I'm feeling kind of stupid now. What you quoted seems to be what I was looking for and I tried to search through and I didn't find it.

Thank's for your help,

Parcival21,

The MS KB search seems at least to me to be gettting worse. Doing the search through your workstation's Help and Support feature seems slightly better than just using
But Google, including searching in Google Groups, is likely to pay bigger dividends.

Best,
Bill Castner
