CRC(Cyclic Redundancy check).
I noticed some of the ds1s configured on our PBX have CRC, some dont. I need to set up a new E1 and the vendor is asking whetehr we need CRC or not. How do you normally decide if CRC is required or not?

Thanks

I took this from the manual

CRC

This field indicates whether a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) will be performed on transmissions that the DS1 circuit pack receives. This field does not display for all circuit packs.

Enter "y" when the Signaling Mode field is CAS and the DS1 link is providing E-1 service.

Enter "n" for all other applications.

All of my E1 ISDN30 circuits are set to yes

Hope this helps
