I have a PC that crashes IE6 everytime I close the application, I get, "Internet Explorer has encountered an error and must close" I followed MS's instructions and re-installed IE6SP1, but it's still doing it, anyone else have any experience with this problem? There are several versions of this error, this is mshtml.dll version.

Thanks

Bill

Uninstall SP1
then
Go Start>Find>Files and Folders, browse to C:\Windows\System for each of these files
Shdocvw.dll Mshtml.dll Comctl32.dll Shlwapi.dll Shell32.dll
Right click each and choose "properties"
Write down each "version#" (ex. 6.0.2600.0, or 4.72.3116)

Tell us do you have the IE6 setup files .cab on the Hard Drive...or on CDROM?
Do a Find for
IE???.cab
and
IE?????.cab
on C:\ drive
I'm looking for the IE6 install files so you can Re-install IE6 without D/l again (better if you have IE6 CDROM, or a High Speed Inet conn., isn't so bad I guess) the d/l is around 20mb

The .cab files I'm looking for will "usually" be in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer...or just C:\Internet Explorer
and not C:\Windows\Options\Cabs(these are the OEM win98 setup files, ex. Win98_22.cab to Win98_69.cab, along with other .cab files for win98) let us know if these are here as well...and/or if you have win98 CDROM.
