In my crosstab sorting, is it possible to have the ROW LABEL HEADING to repeat itself, instead of ONE label printing and then lining itself up with 2 or more subsorts?

The main problem is that I export my crosstabs to Excel for further manipulation and analysis. When I export, I get blank lines in places where the row header is duplicated. I want the row header to print on each row, instead of just ONCE per sort.

When I export here is what I get:

CLIENT.ID INVOICE# AMOUNT
1000 12345 100.00
21345 200.00
31256 3000.00
2000 42354 200.00

I would like for the client id of 2000 to print on the lines where it should, and not just give me a single printing under the group.

I hope this makes sense. Please advise.

Thank you

One workaround is add to add the client ID again as the lowest level row, so that it appears as both your outermost and innermost group. Because the invoice # will be unique to the client, the client ID will repeat for the innermost group. You need the outermost group on client ID so that the invoices sort with the client. When exporting, you could then eliminate the leftmost column.

A different approach would be to use a concatenation of Client ID and invoice # as your row field, with client ID still as your outermost group so that you will get the correct subtotal.

Thanks LB, the first one worked, (adding the Client ID again at the end). Then when we download or export to Excel we just hide or delete one column.

Thanks again.
