Hello,

we're just about to migrate from CR 8.5 to CR X. I have to prepare all existing reports for that step so that they can be used under CR X the same way as under CR 8.5.

With reports that where designed to export cross tab to excel I have the following problems:

1) When using the export option "MS Excel 97-2000" the column headers are exported for every page the report has. This result is not affected by changes of the sub option "export page header and footer". It is the same if you select "never" or "once per report" or "once per page".

2) When using the export option "MS Excel 97-2000 (data only" the field formatting is lost. This is intolerable because a lot of the fields have contents zero and zero has to be suppressed.

Does someone have an idea what I can try? I even tried to suppress the repeated column headers in the cross tab but did not find a way to do that. The next idea set page size to a format of a size that the report will always fit on one page but I even did not find a way to do that.

What else can I try??

Thank you
Barbara

MS Excel 97-2000 (data only) is definitely the best option as MS Excel 97-2000 will try to be too cleaver and mess about with the cells.

You do have the option to change some of the setting with MS Excel 97-2000 (data only)

Choose Custom on the Excel Format and then Tick all the boxes this should give almost the same result as the other Export type but without repeating the header
