CR 9. Same as Report Option. Hiding Features, Crystal's way..

Hi..

I am using CR9.0. I am using ttx files to develop reports. I was looking for a way to set the path of my ttx files to the same directory as Report directory. After spending some hours finally I could get that option. It is tucked under Database/Set Data Source Location screen. In this screen expand the properties node under the Current Data source section. Under it click on the field definion file node and click the right button. Three options appear here in which one of them is the same as report option.

I wonder why Crystal have tucked this feature in a less visble posiiton? Was it same in previous versions. I would like to know mwmbers opinion.

Hi there Krishna,

yes the previous versions that I have used (8.0 and 8.5) were the same and I agree that the first time I used it I found it an obscure location!

I think it was a bit clearer in 8.5. As soon as you opened the "Set Location" window you had a button for "Same as report".

Now try finding the "Set Alias" feature in v9.
