Is there a way of checking your CPU usage on a G650i? or indeed a S8700?

What kind of activities on the G650 would be CPU intensive?
 
Status Health would give you CPU stats. Top right hand corner

As far as the G650, they don't have a cpu... though some cards that go in it do.

Try the "fasttop" command at the bash command-line. From

"Use the fasttop command to view the occupancy numbers for the various Communication Manager processes. The fasttop command is a customized version of the standard top command that is available within Linux.
The following example shows the results of the fasttop command.

If you're running ASA there is a wizard in the data polling schedule that pulls processor occupancy. Unless your switch is very busy, the processors pretty much idle along...
