Hi,

Current set-up is a Compaq RA4100 Cluster with two nodes (CPQ DL380 G1's), which are used for file & print but are also two out of the three Domain Controllers.

I am having problems with the clustering not corectly failing over when a fault occurs, it seems to be fine when I fail the cluster over manually.

I have read in the past (can't remember where though), that running Domain Controllers on your Microsoft Clustering Nodes can cause problems. As I can't find anything physically wrong with the cluster could this be my problem??

Cheers.

Pete.

Running DC on your cluster it will just introduce more load.
If you hae problems with failover, then you should check the resources and how they affect the group (if they affect), after how many restarts of the group the group must be failed over to the other node.
Do simple tests, set those thresholds to low values, and then fail on resource (that is set to influence group too). See if is making the failover.
