Ok, if I INI the PBX I know it will re-establish, but I want to see if anyone has found a way to force connect the signaling server to the PBX.

the sig server is a CPDC Server. It rebooted over the weekend and I came in this morning and found that the pbxLink is LOST. I rebooted the CPDC to see if that would work, knowing it wouldn't, but just wanted to try. No luck still shows LOST

=>stat ss
3333 10.130.29.6 NO Avaya CPDC LOST CPDC-flwr1
APPS: LTPS VTRK
PBXLINK DATE: 23/02/2014
PBXLINK TIME: 14:57:42
CONNECTID: 0

And I can ping from the SS to the PBX and back the other way. Just lost the PBX link.

so does anyone know of a way to kickstart this without me having to INI teh PBX. I know that works.

Maybe try in LD 117 ENL HOST host name here

Never tried it before though

I cant believe it doesn't enable with a reboot of the SS, kinda strange

It is wierd, since an COTS server will establish. Host is not the issue as I tried to disable/enable elnk just to try (different system this weekend) but no go. Avaya Support is saying "Just INI the Call Server and it will re-establish." I know this will work, but trying to see if there is a less impacting say to do this.

In case anyone wants to try this, just reboot your CPDC signaling server and see if it re-establishes the pbx link.

So you can:

=>stat ss from LD 117

[leader ~]$ pbxLinkShow from teh signaling server.

This is strange, and it only happens on the CPDC Signaling Servers.

Any idea what caused it to lose the link? Power outage, network issue?

no power loss..most likely a network blip. I guess if the power went the whole system would have restarted, which would have been better in this case.

Anyways, word from Avaya Support is "Yes we have seen is problem before in the CPDC card. Unfortunately you have to INI to geet it back online."

Mismatch in the pbxLink application and the only way to clear is to INI the call server...

oh well....that's what emergency maintenance windows are for.

Just curious if you tried restarting the application in UCM? I had a CPDC with a lost link and I could ping it. I rebooted the card twice with no luck. I restarted the application in UCM and got it back up. It was 7.6 SP 3, I just patched it today with SP 4, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

goofy, goofy, goofy.

Instead of INI-ing the system, i ran

[sigserver]$appstart restart

and it attached right up.....too wierd.

Going to give this a try. I just ran across 2 signal servers in an 81 running 6.0 where both CPDC SS say link lost but I can ping them and they appear to be registering sets. Unless my MC32S cards are registering them, not sure.

S is this the full command from the SS, $appstart restart

yes, but if they are registering sets, that's even wierder.

From the signaling server: [sigserver]$pbxLinkShow

If you get unknown CS1000 system then the link should show down, from LD 117 / =>stat ss

From the signaling server: [sigserver]$appstart restart

That is all I did. stopped all services and started them and then it registered with the CS1000.

Let me know if that does it for you.

When I do a STAT SS, I get nothing back. When I do a STAT SERV is where is see the LINK LOST. My guess is the MC32S cards are registering the sets.

what do you get when you log into the SS and do a $pbxLinkShow?

curious to see what you get when you do an appstart restart.
