We took over a customer, military reserve unit, who had a CP installed on the PBX but never used it properly.

No passwords, etc. and over 600 messages were in the Gen Del MBox.

I know from reading here that there is confusion about a CP 150 on a Option 11.

We defaulted the CP and I am going back to the site to install it.

All of the programming is intact in the Option 11, ACD Group and the DN is 5666.

They have (3) Ground Start Trunks, (After I convert them to G/S .. sheeeesh!)

What should I look forward to, in terms of having to program the CP to work?

"Thank you for calling, if you know your party's extension, dial it now, press X for Company Directory, For Department A, press "Y" For Department B, Press "Z", etc."

In the original config, they used it to take calls that weren't answered and messages (apparently) went to the General Delivery.

They are going to want to program an Auto Attendant.

Before we defaulted it, I was able to get to the Browser Interface and access via DB9.

Is the programming similar to Norstar, via Browser, and if not, what things are different when used on the Option 11?

No, the F98X codes don't apply here. It's a PBX.

Sorry, don't know the Release but it was installed last October - New.

Thanks!

Hmmm.....

Can you say Semper Fi?

It is a fairly easy install. It is programmed like a CP Mini for a key system, with the browser. The interface to the PBX is digital sets in an ACD queue.

I would program it with an autattendant to allow dial by name, dial by extension, maybe a list of personnel, and by all means make the default go to someone's mailbox instead of the general delivery that never gets checked.

I know of a few that are installed, opertaing, and being used to a bit more of their potential than it sounds like the one you are working on is. Let me know if you have specific issues.

Thanks Engine1.

Good idea on the GD Mailbox. (That's General Delivery, Sir)

Tech is headed out there tomorrow and hopefully, they'll be back to normal.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Out!
