Covert text to curve using adobe photoshop cs2

Hey there i need to figure out how to convert text to curve to be honest though i am not even sure what that means but what i need to accomplish by this is i am using flexisign pro for a vinyl cutter and i need to be able to convert any picture to be able to be cut i know it has to be saved as a eps file because thats what i use in flexisign but i was told i need to convert the text to curve before i save it anyways if anybody could help very much appreciated thank you

I think what they mean is that it's converted to OUTLINES. Having a tiny bit of sign making behind me I remember somthing like that. In InDesign, when you select the text with the Selection Tool, go to TYPE>CREATE OUTLINES.

Then when you have that done, select, FILE>EXPORT>EPS

One thing to remember - always make a copy of your work and outline the text on that. Once you create outlines, the text is no longer editable. It basically becomes a vector image. If you keep the original, with text as text, you can easily change that text if necessary.

Just noticed that the thread title says "Using Photoshop CS2".

Well Photoshop is a Raster program, not a vector program, you can't create outlines of text in Photoshop, it's either Illustrator or InDesign. I'd recommend Illustrator for this type of work, although InDesign can do it too.
