Hello deedivs,
I try to follow this rule when reading evaluations
1/3 of the people will hate you no matter what you do.
1/3 of the people will love you no matter what you do.
1/3 of the people don't give a damn what you do.
I am my own worst critic (as most people are) and when I get less than a stellar evaluation I am always giving myself a hard time. That is when I remember the 1/3 rule.
I will read the evaluations and see if there is a theme with the comments people have written. I don't put much weight on simple checkboxes with numbers. Too easy to just mark a whole column instead of actually thinking about each question.
After reading the comments I will make my own notes on what I will do differently the next time I am teaching that class. I always learn something from every class I teach.
The things I focus on are:
1. How quickly can I learn the software
2. How can I deliver a top quality class
Focusing on these two things has helped me in delivering top quality Training to my clients.
Hope this helps,
Michael
