Counting Total Rows within a column EXCEL

Good Afternoon,
I am trying to build a formula that does not need to be modified each time I paste data into the spreadsheet.

I am looking for a way to count the total number of rows in a given column so I can base the calculation on the correct number of rows.

Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Have you looked a t the COUNT and COUNTA formulas?

[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...

Will any of the rows ever be empty? If not, =count(A:A) will give you how many numeric values are in column A. =CountA(A:A) will give you how many populated cells are in column A (text or numeric).

You can use the COUNT or COUNTA function as the height argument of the OFFSET function in order to create a dynamic range to do what you want.
