Could not save because of a disk error

Have upgraded to latest Photoshop 8 (on a Mac), but when I want to save an image it says: "could not save as "title.psd" because of a disk error".
However, it'll let me save to an external hard drive..... Could someone kindly advise? nigelsutherland@btconnect.com

I'm not a MAC owner but you should have some check/repair disk utilities available to test the status of your hard drive.

Another thought would be a re-load of photoshop.

Did you move the file after you opened it? I've had that error when I try to save something using the Apple+S combo (or save in the menu) but the save as and name change seems to work.

Many thanks to you both! I've run Norton and fixed several things after prompts to do so, and now Photoshop saves OK!!
