could not process any files error on pkg_mkIndex

I am getting the error "this iteration could not process any files: giving up here" when I run the command pkg_mkIndex. Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas on what I should check or what my problem might be? Thanks in advance!

Never mind...it was actually a compile error (a missing } ) that caused the pkg_mkIndex error. But there was no clear way of telling this from the immediate message.
