I had installed netbackup 6 master and media server on Red Hat Enterprise 4 without any tape drives attached.
And I had 2 harddisks each 73 GB.
From that 2 times 73 GB HD, I had created 120 GB logical volume. These 120 GB Logical volume is disk for backup.
And I had a problem to add storage unit (120 GB logical volume) to netbackup 6 master server.
But I could add 20 GB logical volume to storage unit on Netbackup 6.
Anyone has faced this problem before ?
Any ideas to solve it ?
Thanks ...cheers....:)

yes,Netbackup 6 could run on RH AS 4.0.
I could add logical volume 20GB to storage unit.
But I still could not backup successfully.
Because I got the error code 50 (Client process aborted) for any plattform of clients....
Any ideas for this error??
Thx....cheers....:)

Thanks. Finally I can find a way out from this problem.
The bp.conf was missed one line during the installation.
That one line :
VXDBMS_NB_DATA = /usr/openv/db/data

The solution : stop the netbackup, create nbdb, tpext to populate the db and start the netbackup .
Cheers..........
