Could a 1600 series router be used for ADSL??

just wondering, could a Cisco 1600 series router be used as an adsl gateway?

The 1600 series doesn't support ADSL.

any ideas how to connect to the console port to configure the IOS?? My laptop does not have any serial ports (only usb)

I believe that you can get USB to serial adapters, but I have no idea where as I've never had to use them.
