I received a message that the c: drive was currupted during the installation of MS 2000 Professional edition. I had Windows 98 and I'm doing a complete install of 200 Professional - NOT just an upgrade. Can anyone help me get past this problem?

Have you tried booting the system from a 98SE boot floppy and running scandisk c: to fix the file system, then rebooting back into 2000 setup?
If all else fails of course you could just wipe the disk and start again, if it failed only part way through setup you've not lost anything.

Yes, do a scandisk and a defrag of the drive before you install. If it doesn't resolve the problem, then you may have to do a redo. Regular scan and defrag prevents this type of problem. Always scan before you defrag. Turn off antivirus protection. Some TSR's may cause problems and you can remove TSR's by using ALT CTL DEL and deleting tasks (other than systray or explorer). Then the scan should run fine. Don't work on anything else while these programs run.
