Hello. I have a Windows 2000 user who just started receiving an error message "stisvc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program" everytime he tries to download pictures from his camera. I know thatit's a still image service that automatically starts when using some cameras or scanners. I can start the service but when he tries using the camera the service turns off. I tried deleting the stisvc.exe file entirely to see what would happen and it made no difference.... I get the same error message and it appears that the system creates a copy of the file whenever I attempt to delete it or rename it. I can't find out how to reinstall this file if it is corrupted. Any suggestions?
