I had a similar problem. I turned off color correction on exports. Any program I export a CDR file to, I allow that program to perform its own color correction on import. This has avoided the most problems. I had a real issue with trying to match a service breau for color, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get an acceptable match. Only when I turned off the import and export color match did I have any success.
I am not sure about the transparency issue. My guess is that a bitmap was node edited to only show a portion of the image, then never cropped to border - but I could be wrong.
I have not had many issues going between Draw and Photopaint. The biggest issue I seem to have is with drop shadow density.
However, transparencies in other programs usually stem from an incompatability issue with Corel's export function. Just as the text never seems to align properly in an exported document, the transparencies have similar issues. I find my only suitable work around is to export to a non-native language of either program, then allow the importing program to translate it to its native language. I seem to have the best luck using PDF and EPS when exporting for an Adobe product. IF possible, .jpg of high resolution or Tiff work equally well for programs that don't need to manipulate the vectors.
