Anyone have any recommendations for a cordless phone application that would allow an executive to get coverage on the 3rd and 46th floors of an office building?

Need one extension that would allow extending the coverage area to both of these floors in this office building.

Phone system is a Legend, but will eventually be upgraded to a Definity at some point.

Avaya has the Trans talk that you can put access points on each floor they will be used on.

In the future everything will work...

EC-500 is the best solution. It will not only work within 2-3 floors, but wherever your cell phone works. And you can turn it on/off at your leisure.

display sys parameters customer options and see if you have it...

Thanks,
Chris

We have a definity, and we setup an analog extension and make the call-appr a bridged appearance to the first line of there mail phone. That way they can walk away from their desks and when their phone rings it also rings the coordless because it is a bridged appr.

You may also want to check out EnGenius phones. They are analog phones that are working extremely well in our plants. Alot better than the transtalks the plants had before.

Glad that someone brought up the EnGenius, I had looked at that, but this is for a CEO, and I'm afraid that minus the call display this person may be lost. Does the EnGenius support a 2 floor arrangement like I am looking at? I see that the TransTalk has a manual handoff, but I just know this guy is going to get into the elevator and try and continue a call, I can just see that happening, and we all know that won't work.

If you have a travel cable in the elevator you can put a acccess point in there too.

In the future everything will work...

You know I am not sure. The plants that they are in I believe is only one story high. I do know that they said the range on them is ungodly. The plants that have them say they are at least 10 times better than the trans talks they had. And as an added bonus they are roughly 350 dollars a piece instead of the 1000 they wanted for the transtalks.

EnGenius was the winner, price and quality. Thanks for your input. I have posted a question regarding how to integrate this phone with his existing MLS set. Thanks again.
