There are 2 hard drives involved in this question:
Hard drive A = my current 80 gig hd
Hard drive B = my new 120 gig hd

My question is this:
HD A has an NTFS xp partition on it. I want to copy that partition onto HD B. I tried this using Partition Magic 8, but it was unable to boot (partition magic had warned me that it would not be able to, but I tried it anyway because it was already working like that on HD A.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Norton Ghost would be perfect.

Have you tried running recovery console ( & fixboot x: (where x; is the partition's drive letter as seen from recovery console) on the cloned partition?

You don't say how you tried to boot (& if you made the cloned partition active or not) - eg, boot manager, changing bios boot sequence, running with just 120GB drive etc.

the best method is to use easy migrate,,,,
works like a charm

Hmmm... My apologies to everyone who posted a response to my question. I probably found an answer and forgot about these forums. Thank you all, and sorry about that.
