Does anyone know of a way to get a copy of all e-mail being sent out from a users mailbox? The request was made by a manager who suspects e-mail abuse. I have done everything I can think of to monitor this mailbox. The only thing i cannot find is a way to grab the msgs as they are going out and before they're deleted. Any insight is appreciated. Thanx! [bigglasses]

If you enable Message Tracking by going into the exchange administrator and then selecting the servername and then selecting the MTA (Message Transfer Agent) give it a couple of days and then go back into exchange admin and then goto tools and track. Here you can atleast do a search for all the messages that were sent or received by this user. This might give you an inking of what type of emails that person is sending.

wrodriguez27,
Thank-you, I will try that!

ITJam, you may need to warn your manager that in several coutries, it is ILLEGAL to check anyones mail, even in a company.
Just to be on the safe site, tell him! The user couls sue as a breach of privacy.
Sad but true.

Thanks for the tip Marc,
I did try the tracking and it didnt do much, just indicated the messages sent and to whom. That may be good enough as I dont want to continue this type of detective work anyway. [bigglasses]
