Copper Trunk Modules problem/System reset

I am working with a customer who's Meridian (M8x24-ds) just reset completely overnight (no power failure either), and I am not sure what caused it.

Anyways, the copper trunk modules are not being seen by the system anymore (12x0, one with one card, one with 3 cards). Everything was functional yesterday.

Do they need to be initialized? I don't see them under Module Status. Both modules are powered and connected exactly the same as they were before. They are connected in ports 8 and 7 in the main ksu.

Thanks,

Does the system see the modules? -- Under Module Status, I don't see them, just the KSU mods.

Did you try a reboot of the system? --Unplugged and replugged.

Do you have a 2 or 6 port exp. card? -- The modules accept up to three cards each and each card provides 4 additional CO lines.

Thanks,

I know many many cards a module holds and how many trunks. What does your 12x0's connect to? a 2 port or 6 port exp. card?? If it's a 6 then try to plug into another port.

I didn't check, I'll check tomorrow. You think its a more likely a system side card failure?

I started to respond before I read your whole post a little bit. If the mods are showing as 8 and 7 then you have a 6 port inside the KSU. Under module status do they show idle? Do both mods have the power light on? I doubt that 2 mods died at the same time.
