Hi

Does anyone know of a site where I can put in my hostname and get the results of the DNS from multiple locations?

i.e. test.foo.com

= Australia/AusNet = 192.168.0.1
= Germany/GermaNet = 192.168.0.3
= China/AsiaNet = 192.168.0.1

etc etc

I know all records SHOULD show the same result but would be handy in identifying problems on DNS changes to find out what regions are correct and which are incorrect.

Thanks!

Thanks Peter, which tool will do the DNS requests from multiple locations?

That doesn't look like it does what Hondy is looking for.

What is needed is something like dnsstuff but uses multiple geographic servers.

The dns query needs to executed remotely to see how a remote site "views" you. This is more useful in the context of a web server.

I usually compile a list of these sites around the world and use them, I have not found a multi host page because as you stated %99.95 of the time the results are going to be the same or explainable due to some caching or TTL.

The only time I found an anomaly that I couldn't explain was one of the ROOT nameserver was totally out to lunch and was inconsistent with the rest of the world.
