Has anyone used TM3.1 or OTM2.2 to convert the systems. The customer is downsizing. Option 51c with 4.0 going to Option 11C with 5.0. I really don't want to put in 250 sets. They want programming to stay the same. help please....

I dont think that you'll be able to. On the 51 you have L S C U and on the 11 it's just C U. I dont know how you'd convert that in OTM, also the network assignments etc. It would be a mess

Well you can't use OTM 2.2 as it is not compatable with 5.0. With TM 3.1 you can print a TNB and use the mv.xls file found at pepedog.com to convert it to a csv file, change the TNs, and "IMPORT" the csv file into TM.

OTM2.2 will work on 5, you just loose some of the phone sets.

The amount of work using OTM/TM3.x would be far more than using procomm.

Use this as a chance to clean the system up. No doubt lots of things have evolved on peoples handsets. Put them all back to a basic/standard config, and then tweak once the system has been running for a while.

Just rebuild it from scratch as dulfo666 says use this opportunity to clean up all the old grabage that's in the system. You will save yourself lots of time and grief in the long run. Preprogram and test the new switch on the bench before you ever install it.

I agree with the other posts as far as the system programming is concerned. But if the customer wants the sets to remain the same I would use TM for the stations. TM also can copy your ESN programming if you're happy with the current configuration.
TM is not an easy program to learn but once you get it going it does save a lot of keystrokes.
