how do you convert a domain to the fully qualified domain name convention. domain.com

I have told the domain to go to native mode in AD users and computers but when the log on screen comes up asking for a log on it still shows the domain name being in the universal naming convention, UNC, netbios.

Make sure that under system properties\Network Identification\Properties\More\Change the primary DNS .. is checked.

Also select the following:
TCP/IP\DNS\Append parent Suffix..
TCP/IP\DNS\Register this connection ..
TCP/IP\DNS\Use this connection..
