Hi,
This is my first time posting to this forum. Forgive me if this has been asked or if this is in the wrong forum. Anyway I have a database designed with a whole bunch of forms and i want to make it accessable through the web. My question is, is there an easy way to translate my existing forms into HTML or ASP pages with the same format, or will I have to build pages from scratch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need anything clarified just let me know. Thanks in advance.

I work with Access97 and it has a Publish to Web Wizard Add-On. In Access, go to file, save as HTML and the Wizard will start and guide you through the process. If you don't have this option, you'll need to go into the setup program for installing access and select the Publish to Web Wizard. If you check the access help you'll find some info.

I haven't worked with the wizard that much so I can't really help with that but I know you can create asp pages using the wizard.

If you are working with A2K then you may convert the forms to Data Access Pages. However, DAPs require IIS to be installed on the server. DAPs are quite simple to create and the editor is drag and drop so arranging fields on a form is not too troublesome. If you are going to create DAPs then you should read Microsoft's white paper. (You'll have to search knowledge base for it, i don't remember it off the top of my head). The white paper addresses a number of security issues.

HTH,
JC
