...pdf from powerpoint, then open pdf in photoshop...
...if you don't have powerpoint, either get the source user to make pdf or post the ppt file via sendpace, use your own email and copy the link you receive:
...post the link back here so i can download and make a pdf for you, but worth noting that if i don't have the same fonts then the appearance might be different as i'm on mac, but always worth a go if all else fails...

...if you have acrobat pro, you can print to the pdf printer...
...if not get cutepdf writer:
...you can save as from powerpoint 2008 to pdf, but photoshop doesn't always like powerpoints 2008 pdf files in my experience, so best to print to pdf instead...
...then raster it to high res...

...basically, when acrobat is installed it creates a printer, a pdf writer...
...if you have it, you will find it in your print options as an available printer...
...if not listed then you need another way, cutepdf writer is free, and acts just like you were printing to a desktop printer, only that you are really printing to a digital pdf file instead...
...from powerpoint, file > page setup, check settings are as required, choose the pdf printer driver, print to your desktop space > open photoshop > file > open > locate pdf > turn anti-aliasing on in the dialog > set resolution to either 300 or 600, which ever is most suitable, 600 would be preferable if text is involved for high end output...
