I am fairly new to DB work but I have been tasked with converting an old paradox application to MS Access 97. 2 problems:

1. I have successfully imported two thirds of the old tables but the other third gives a 'Index or primary key cannot contain a null value' error. Can I get round this ?

2. The old application is gone. By that I mean that the company who wrote the app are defunct. Also the single machine that had the software installed crashed and had to be re-built. I don't have a copy of the software to re-install but I do have the raw folders containing the app files and data files. I understand paradox uses forms and query files, can these be understood by Access (or indeed anything) ? I just need a way of understanding how the old app functioned and what tables it queried.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Thanks,
Will.
